On Call & Manager on Duty Policy
On-Call
Our customers rely on us to address their home service needs anytime, therefore, we will be dependable and make it happen.
● Every service technician will have an on-call schedule responsibility determined by the department manager.
● You need to cover your assigned on-call. We expect you to make every effort to cover your on call and/or find a replacement if you are sick or have a personal matter arise. Let your manager know if a switch is made.
● On call starts at 5 PM and ends at 7 AM the next morning.
MOD
All managers are expected to be available 24/7. However, we want you to work first with the MOD from 5 PM to 7 AM. He or she will field your call and determine whether or not another manager needs to be involved. This will ensure two things:
1. Most importantly, that the MOD is aware and able to manage the situation in light of the whole operation for that time period.
2. That our managers get some down time.
The MOD is expected to field calls and return any missed calls within a reasonable period of time. For that reason, we ask all technicians to limit calls to what cannot wait until next business day and to keep calls brief so the MOD can get to others who may need his or her attention.
